FAQ

What's Payper?
Payper is a social experiment that enables writers to charge for a-la-carte content, and readers to consume great longform writing, for tiny amounts of money. You can read the full manifesto here.
How does Payper work?
Users who sign up have the ability to create posts and set a price on accessing them. That price can be as low as $0.01, or even free. Users also have the ability to buy access to posts that other users have created. Only authenticated users can create, buy, or read posts. The whole Internet can see the leaderboard on the Discover page.
How can I pay for posts?
All Payper users have a balance starting at $0.00 when you sign up. You can top up your balance using a credit card, and then use that balance to buy post access.
How can I charge for posts?
If you're a writer who wants to create a post, just set a price on the New Post screen. Users who buy access to your post will pay that price, and each purchase will increment your balance.
Is it real money? Are there fees?
We're in beta mode, so everything's made up and the points don't matter. You can go to your user settings page and top up your balance, or cash out your balance, with fake money at any time.
Are you taking product feedback?
Absolutely -- email it to feedback@payper.cool.
